Winter is nearly upon us once again here in Te Anau, Southland. We have two Markets left for the 2013 - 2014 Summer/Autumn Season.
The dates are:
Saturday April 19th (Easter Weekend. Note earlier opening time of 9.00am)
Saturday May 31st (Queens Birthday Weekend. Note earlier opening time of 9.00am)
June - September the Market will be closed for the Winter months and will reopen for the 2014 - 2015 Summer Season on Saturday October 25th (Labour Weekend)
Post Christmas Market - December 28th
Due to unforeseen circumstances this Market has had to be cancelled.
The next Market is to be held Saturday 11th January 2014. Doors will open at the usual time of 11.00am.
A very Merry Christmas to all of our customers, thank you for your support over the past year.

December 2013
The Pre Christmas Market is on this Saturday December 14th, Come and join us for some Christmas cheer and a bit of cake!!
We have a variety of Stallholders attending with a great selection of goods on offer. There will be something for everyone with all budgets catered for.
We are also offering free Christmas wrapping on goods purchased at the Market for Christmas giving, as well as having a Christmas Hamper Raffle which will be drawn on the day.
If that isn't enough to tempt you we will also be having a visit from our friendly Southland Mr Whippy.
Doors will be opening at 11.00am, we look forward to you joining us.........

A huge thank you to everyone who shopped with us on Labour Weekend, your support was greatly appreciated. It was a fantastic Market with a great variety of goods on offer, pity the weather was so awful!!

Labour Weekend Market 2013
The Labour Weekend Market, the first Market for the 2013/2014 Summer Season is now only weeks away!!
This is one of the most popular Markets of the season attracting a large number of Stallholders and hundreds of shoppers.
Sites are limited and are being reserved very quickly, we still have a very small number of sites available so if you want one you need to make contact with the Coordinator and reserve one today!!
Please note that this Market will have an early opening time of 9.00am and usual closing time of 3.00pm.
Winter Closing
Te Anau Community Market is now closed for the Winter Months. We will re-open Labour Weekend, Saturday 26th October at 9.00am.
Take care over the Winter months, stay warm, well and safe. We look forward to you joining us again in the Summer Season.
Queens Birthday Weekend
A special Winter Market with all your favourite regular stallholders is to be held Queens Birthday Weekend, Saturday June 1st, Note earlier opening time of 9.00am and closing at 2.00pm.
There will be plenty to see and do on the day as we will be sharing the Community Centre with the Annual Book Sale, and the Scouts will be holding a Car Boot Sale out the front, plus Te Anau Westpac Bank Staff will be in attendance cooking a sausage sizzle to raise much needed funds for the Westpac Chopper Appeal.
Sounds like a great way to spend Winters day, see you there!!
Easter Saturday
We have a fantastic Market planned for Easter. It is to be held Easter Saturday March 30th. Doors will open at the usual time of 11.00am and close at 3.00pm. We have 35+ Stallholders booked to attend on the day. Also joining us is Craig Smith, Author of the childrens books The Wonkey Donkey, Willbee the Bumblebee and Kaha the Kea. Craig will be performing as well as selling his books and cd's on the day. Entry is free of charge but we would appreciate it if people made a donation to the Westpac Chopper Appeal as they will be present at the Market raising much needed funds. All money raised in the area stays and is used in the area . A great day out for the whole family!!
Please note that this Market is the final Market for the 2012/13 Summer Season.
There will be a lot of activities going on over Easter Weekend in Te Anau. Regardless of where you go and what you do, we hope your Easter Saturday will include a visit to the Te Anau Community Market.
Change to Market Dates 2013
Te Anau Community Market Stallholders have decided to fall in line with what other Markets in the Southland area are doing and will be closing the doors for Winter. Markets will now run from Labour Weekend through until Easter Weekend. Therefore Easter Saturday March 30th will be the final Market for the 2012/13 Summer Season. The Market will open again Labour Weekend, October 26th at 9.00am.
There is the possibility of the Stallholders holding a "Mid Winter Market" sometime in June, this will be advised once confirmed.
